Since the company has started its operations in India in 2007 the Pune-based Konecranes has achieved significant growth and just in five years time has more than 1,000 cranes installed in India. Konecranes has been successful in delivering lifting solutions to many industry segments right from general manufacturing, steel and automotive.

The company is expanding its operation by setting up a new facility that will be the biggest in the country. Says Saeesh Nevrekar, Vice President, Konecranes India, ?We are building a new factory at Jejuri, which will be the biggest crane factory in India and we are investing Rs 100 crore in this project. Our products and brand is very well recognised by the Indian industry. He adds, ?We have three factories in Bhandup, Sanaswadi and Jejuri and we are now in the process of building a state of the art new factory at Jejuri. This new factory has a capacity to manufacture 1,000 cranes per year. We have also been investing in development of WMI cranes product line further. Konecranes has head office in Pune and wide network of sales and service offices across India.
