BEML has opened its district office at Leh. The office was inaugurated by Brig. BS Sandhu, Chief Engineer, Himank Project of DGBR. BEML is the first defence public sector company to establish an office in Leh. The newly opened office is located at an altitude between 10,500 ft to 22,000 ft and the ambient temperature varies from 25 to -35oC with presence of oxygen as low at 50 per cent MSL.

Through this office, BEML will be extending after sales support to its mining and construction equipment deployed through DGBR and E-In-C. The marketing network of BEML comprises 12 regional offices, four zonal service centres and 17 district offices including Leh across the country to extend after sales service support to its customer round-the-clock.
