Berry Cranes has taken delivery of an LTM 1040-2.1, its first crane from Liebherr. The 40 tonne capacity two axle wheeled mobile crane has a 35 m, continuously variable four-section telescopic boom. It uses a hydro-mechanical telescoping system to extend to the required length quickly and the telescoping operation can also be performed under load. A fly jib was fitted, as was the VarioBase system which, the company said, ensures a larger working range and higher lifting capacity.
