Suspa Pneumatics is an innovative manufacturer of gas springs, hydraulic dampers, vibration dampers, lifting columns, piston rods, crash management systems, safety systems, as well as complex drives and actuators. SUSPA is also a development partner of important producers from the automotive, machine building, furniture, white goods, medical and durable goods industries.

Gas springs
SUSPA gas springs can meet individual requirements for the opening,closing, tilting and damping of flaps. The gas spring (often also called gas pressure spring, gas damper or gas pressure damper) is superior to other solutions in many points and offers many advantages like simple fitting, compact construction, definable spring characteristics and extension speed, and integrated damping.
 
Locking gas springs
SUSPA's Varilock locking gas springs provide ergonomics and comfort. These are used for the convenient and safe adjustment of sitting and lying positions, and also for the effortless and precise operation of machinery covers. The locking gas springs provide variable locking in any stroke position. This is possible both by elastic locking (cushioning) and rigid locking. Special advantages in terms of comfort and operation are offered by the special functions. 

Dampers
With many years of experience in the sphere of damping technology, the company can meet individual requirements for damping vibrations and bumps. All dampers developed by SUSPA (also called shock absorbers, industrial dampers or vibration dampers) are designed for the respective product application in such a way that an optimum movement sequence or optimum vibration characteristics are achieved. The method of operation of the individual dampers is adapted to the relevant requirement and offers the highest level of comfort and safety in the application as a result. The extensive range offers clients different solutions specific to each application in order to achieve optimum damping characteristics.
 
Table lift systems
With SUSPA's solutions for the height adjustment of tables, the customer has the option of configuring the height of his workstation in the simplest way, and of doing this safely and ergonomically. The adjustment systems are suitable for office or industrial workstation. The company offers the following adjustment systems for the ergonomic adjustment of table height:

The lifting systems are ideally suited to the easy adjustment of office desks, CAD desks, work desks, workbenches, laboratory desks, assembly desks, packing tables, working areas and a lot more.
 
Adjustment systems in the car
Adjustment systems include SUSPA products that require electrical or mechanical power to activate. The products are electro-mechanical or hydraulic in nature. Adjustment systems usually come with two or more actuators, and the displacement of the actuators is synchronised regardless of the forces acting on them. SUSPA adjustment systems are popular in automotive spoilers, lift gates, convertible tops and seat adjustments.
 
Crash management
Energy absorption (energy intake) reduces the consequences in any car crash scenario.
SUSPA-products protect the vehicle and all those involved.

Vehicle protection: The vehicle protection systems eliminate the damage to the vehicle chassis, keep repair costs low and reduce insurance classification as a result.
Pedestrian protection: When it comes to the crunch, the hood lifting system lifts the hood even before a pedestrian comes into contact with it - thus generating a life-saving deformation path for pedestrian protection.

Occupant protection: SUSPA's invisible helpers protect the occupants when it is too late for evasive action. They work covertly behind the steering wheel, the safety belt and seat.
 
Piston rods and tubes
SUSPA manufactures rotary and translatory piston rods, shafts and tubes. Each component produced in this production division meets the highest standards for exact manufacturing tolerance and surface quality. SUSPA currently produce more than 25 million single components in lot sizes from 100 to 10,000 pieces each year including reliability and short delivery times.
