Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said it has bagged orders worth Rs 1,960 crore across business segments. The company?s construction arm has secured these contracts in different businesses including water and effluent treatment projects, Larsen & Toubro said in a BSE filing. In water and effluent treatment division, L&T has secured orders worth Rs 1,053 crore from the Water Resource Department of Odisha for engineering, procurement and construction of 34 lift irrigation schemes in various districts, it said. The major scope involves construction of 34 intake wells and delivery chambers, supply and laying of 400 km of ductile iron pipelines. In the heavy civil infrastructure category, the company has secured orders worth Rs 889 crore. It has also received an order from Chennai Metro Rail Corporation for the construction of Chennai Metro line Package 3 Underground - Balance works, it said.
