Mexico receives its first Manitowoc MLC165
The growing Mexican petrochemical industry just received its newest heavy-duty crawler crane: the Manitowoc MLC165. The 165 t (182 USt) capacity crane was purchased by Gr?as Villarreal, a Veracruz-based rental company, at Conexpo 2014 in Las Vegas, US. The company took delivery of its new crane soon after.Having one of the largest fleets of Manitowoc cranes in Mexico, Gr?as Villarreal already owns about 30 of the company?s mobile cranes from across the rough-terrain, all-terrain and truck-mounted ranges, as well as nine National Crane boom trucks. At COnexpo, the company also ordered a 600 t (660 USt) capacity Manitowoc 18000 crawler crane that is now the highest capacity crane in its fleet. Gr?as Villarreal said that it relies on Manitowoc?s quality and reliability to endure the tough demands of one of the country?s largest plastic production projects, Ethylene XXI, a forthcoming industrial complex that will annually produce 1.05 million tonne (1.2 million USt) of polyethylene. The project will start in early 2015.
