Record participation for Automation Expo 2017

Automation Expo 2017 has attracted a record number of exhibitors with over 900 companies from about 24 countries represented at the event. The 12th edition of the show will be held from 9 to 12 August 2017, at Hall No. 1, Bombay Exhibition Centre, in Mumbai.

SANY excavator cleaning canal in Baramati

SANY India has joined hands with an NGO, Environmental Forum of India, for a canal cleaning project in Baramati. As a part of its contribution, SANY India provided SY210 C-9 long reach excavator by which truckloads of waste and silt was removed from the canal and the bed was dredged to increase its water holding capacity.

Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour crane to handle palletised fruits

Portsmouth-based MMD Shipping Ltd (MMD) will further increase its handling rates with the help of a new Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 mobile harbour crane. The eco-efficient diesel-electric 125 t machine was put into operation at the end of May 2017. In the terminal, located on England?s south coast, the crane will predominantly handle reefer containers and palletised fruit.

MTU engines to be assembled in India

Rolls Royce and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) have agreed for the final assembly of MTU Series 4000 engines in India. The 12V and 16V 4000 M90 type engines will be assembled in GRSE?s diesel engine plant in Ranchi. An option for the local production of parts in the future was also agreed.

Noatum adds Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour crane

Noatum Terminal Castellon, part of the leading Spanish port operator Noatum Maritime, has added another Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour crane to its fleet. The Model 6 machine was put into operation in May in Castellon, where it handles mainly bulk and also a number of other cargo types.
