Terex India has set its focus on material handling and port solutions for Gujarat ports. The company is likely to initiate talks with port operators in Gujarat to supply large to small sized cranes for applications in port operations.

Port equipment like TFC 45 reach stackers have vast applications for con?tainer handling at ports like Kandla and Mundra Port. Last year, the com?pany sold about $65 million worth of cranes and port equipment in Indian market. Now company has set ambitious plans for its penetration in Gujarat market.

Terex India registered a total turnover of $170 million, showing a 70 per cent growth on year-on-year basis. The company operates in four major business verticals including materials processing, cranes, construction equi?pment and aerial work platforms and utilities.

The company?s backhoe loaders are increasingly gaining acceptance among retail buyers. Besides that, the company has also developed a mobile crushing, screening plant under its materials processing vertical. They have so far sold over 1,000 units of such mobile crushing plants in India.

Terex has manufacturing facilities located at Hosur in Tamil Nadu and Greater Noida near Delhi, making some of its mobile crushing plants and backhoe loaders.
