The Show is ON
The market sentiments are right; the government is taking right decisions for growth and development; and the construction equipment sector is sure to face a turnaround. The bC India is expected to mirror this transformation...
Any exhibition of this scale is an acid test to the organisers as an event like this, to great extent, mirrors the prevailing economic scenario, be it positive or negative. No wonder then, as Igor Palka, Chief Executive Officer, bC India Expo succinctly puts it, ?There is a challenge that always persists is the market situation, as an exhibition is always a mirrors the industry. Unfortunately, in the past two to three years, the economic situation in the country hasn?t been conducive to the healthy growth of the infrastructure sector.? However, he was quick to add, ?We are seeing a positive change in the market sentiment in the past couple of months. Hence, I am confident that this show is going to be a success. The tangibles are there to see - increased number of exhibitors, growth in floor area, facilities added, and expected footfall ? but the real success will be dependent on the actual sales possibilities, or in generating the hot prospects. ?

Overall, as per the interaction EQUIPMENT INDIA had, the sentiments are quite positive from across the segments. According to Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India Services, the industry hopes for changes in the Indian economy under the new government, in particular in the construction and mining sector. Many AEM members are exhibiting in bC India, either directly or through a local dealer. Overall, the number is down a bit compared to previous years due to the slowdown in the Indian market. However, our members are optimistic on the future under the new government and with new trade agreements in both the US and Asia.?

We have developed a special piling rig for railway jobs as well as low head room rig and we feel both these products will be interesting for Indian companies considering the emphasis given on railway and metro projects by the new government.
