Selfservit launches MService
Selfservit Solutions has launched MService, a field service management application that addresses the needs of the construction and material handling equipment industry.

MService has been designed to address the field service requirements of OEMs and dealers, who handle after sales service of equipment that is of high value and complexity. The Indian construction and material handling equipment industry has been on a growth trajectory since the last several years, thanks to an array of infrastructure projects that are in various stages of execution across the country.  Equipment used in such projects are critical assets and any downtime directly affects the time, cost, quality of project. This equipment is typically deployed in remote locations. MService leverages, the latest advances in mobile technology to facilitate such on-site support in remote locations. MService is designed to work on commercially available mobile platforms such as Android from Google, Windows from Microsoft and Apple iOS from Apple. Field engineers carrying a hand-held device like an Android phone can use the MService mobile application to record the progress of their tasks in real time. Likewise, service managers at the branch can allocate service calls/orders to service engineers (SE) and keep track of performance, turnaround times, material consumption, and other service parameters using MService.  
MService is designed to work collaboratively with existing systems/applications such as ERP/CRM deployed by OEMs/dealers. Where such systems are already in place, MService can be deployed to further streamline service operations through field service automation. Where service operations are not yet automated, deploying MService will help derive the benefit of improved efficiencies and visibility of true performance of service operations.

MService is offered to customers as on a pay-as-you-use (subscription) pricing model. This enables customers to convert their investments on MService as an operational expenditure.
