Escorts Kubota launches new Farmtrac tractors to mark 30 years
Escorts Kubota has launched two new tractor offerings under its Farmtrac brand to mark 30 years of operations in India. The company introduced the 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’, Farmtrac’s first all-black tractor, along with the expanded PROMAXX 2.0 range featuring the 47 HT PROMAXX and 50 PROMAXX models.

The Farmtrac 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ is a 55 HP category tractor available in both two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) variants. Powered by a four-cylinder, 3682 cc engine, the tractor delivers 247 Nm of maximum torque and comes with features including a 2,500 kg heavy-duty hydraulic lift, premium LED lighting and a heat shield. It is designed for progressive farmers and applications involving advanced implements such as super seeders, laser levellers, reversible mould board ploughs, rotavators and harrows.

Under the PROMAXX 2.0 range, Escorts Kubota has introduced the 47 HT PROMAXX (47 HP) and 50 PROMAXX (50 HP category), available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. The models are equipped with Farmtrac’s 3514 cc High Torque (HT) engine, delivering up to 230 Nm of torque, along with a 12 forward and three reverse gearbox, creeper speed option and spacious flat platform for improved operator comfort.

Farmtrac, launched in 1995, currently offers tractors ranging from 26 HP to 60 HP in India. Escorts Kubota operates across three tractor brands — Kubota, Farmtrac and Powertrac — catering to premium, entry-premium and value segments.

Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Escorts Kubota, said the new launches reflect the company’s focus on application-led products and strengthening its position across key horsepower categories.

The company stated that changing farmer preferences, increasing adoption of mechanisation and demand for higher torque and 4WD capabilities are driving growth in the tractor market. Both new offerings will be available through Farmtrac’s authorised dealer network across India.
