Lubrizol, Grasim Open CPVC Resin Plant in Gujarat
Lubrizol and Grasim Industries have inaugurated a Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) resin manufacturing facility at Vilayat in Gujarat.

The new plant, along with Lubrizol’s recently expanded CPVC compounding capacity at Dahej, creates a scalable and integrated CPVC manufacturing footprint in India. It will support the supply of CPVC resin and compounds used in pipes and fittings for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Abhishek Shrivastav, Managing Director, Lubrizol IMEA, said the Vilayat facility strengthens the company’s manufacturing capabilities in India through a local-for-local approach.

Jayant V Dhobley, Business Head and CEO, Global Chemicals, Aditya Birla Group, said the partnership combines Grasim’s manufacturing and execution capability with Lubrizol’s technology to deliver reliable CPVC materials.

CPVC is widely used in hot and cold-water systems, fire sprinkler networks, HVAC and industrial piping due to its heat resistance, corrosion resistance, durability and hygiene.

The commissioning marks a key milestone in Lubrizol’s 60-year presence in India and aligns with the Make in India vision.
