Powering India’s Infra Future
Excon 2025, South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition, is set to return in a grand 13th edition from 9–13 December 2025 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and supported by the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA), the mega event is expected to reinforce its position as the premier marketplace for construction technologies, equipment, and infrastructure solutions. The event will host over 1,250 exhibitors, including 160+ international participants, and attract more than 1,00,000 business visitors from around the world.

India’s infrastructure sector is expanding at an unprecedented pace, driven by large-scale investments in roads, railways, metros, airports, ports, power, and urban development. This rapid growth is creating renewed demand for mechanisation, efficiency, and sustainability in construction practices. Excon 2025 aims to align the industry with these national priorities by showcasing solutions spanning earthmoving machinery, material handling systems, concrete equipment, paving technologies, components, attachments, IoT systems, automation tools, alternative fuels, and green construction technologies.

Deepak Shetty, President, ICEMA, and Co-Chairman, Excon 2025, highlights the shift underway: “India’s CEV sector is not just expanding in scale, but transforming in character—embracing technology, sustainability, and innovation at its core. The Excon 2025 theme mirrors the direction in which the entire ecosystem is moving—towards greater productivity, equitable growth, and deeper stakeholder collaboration. As we gear up for Viksit Bharat, our industry’s future is not just about building structures, but building a stronger, more connected India.”

The transition to CEV V emission standards earlier in 2025 and a domestic market sale of 1,40,191 units in FY25 demonstrate rising maturity and resilience. With major infrastructure projects scheduled for FY25–26 and government thrust on Make in India, Excon emerges as a crucial platform for evaluating next-generation solutions.

Excon’s global reach continues to grow. The 2025 edition features eight country pavilions from: China, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, and the UK. These pavilions offer visitors exposure to international technologies, collaborative opportunities, and global best practices. The event expects participation from 25 countries, underlining its stature as a global construction equipment festival.

In the mobility and commercial vehicle segment, Tata Motors is set to spotlight future-ready, high-performance solutions. Rajesh Kaul, Vice President & Business Head – Trucks, states:
“Excon remains a pivotal platform enabling strategic engagement across the construction and mining ecosystem. With India’s infrastructure sector poised for accelerated growth, Excon is the ideal stage for us to present solutions engineered for maximum productivity and aligned with national development priorities.”

This focus on sustainability, digital integration, and intelligent features reinforces the event’s commitment to next-gen mobility for the construction ecosystem. With India moving rapidly towards large-scale adoption of precast construction, 3D printing, monolithic construction, automation, telematics, AI-driven analytics, and IoT-enabled monitoring, specialised machinery will play a transformative role in improving project timelines, safety, and cost efficiency.

Excon’s theme “Accelerating Growth, Building Tomorrow” captures this vision. The event will also highlight emerging areas, including: AI and automation in construction, green construction technologies, defence and paramilitary infrastructure equipment, alternate fuels (CNG, LNG, hydrogen, electric), advanced digital controls and telematics, and recycling and sustainability systems.

The exhibition will offer live demos, interactive dialogues, procurement opportunities, component showcases, and sector-focused sessions. Exhibitors range from global heavyweights like Caterpillar, JCB, Schwing Stetter, Komatsu, Volvo CE, Kobelco, L&T, SANY, Tata Hitachi, and Wirtgen, to mid-segment technology innovators and MSMEs across halls and outdoor lots.

Excon 2025 promises to be more than an exhibition—it is a knowledge hub, networking arena, innovation stage, and business accelerator. As India targets rapid infrastructure advancement under Vision 2047, Excon stands at the centre of this transformation, enabling industry stakeholders to explore new technologies, form strategic alliances, and prepare for the next era of growth. With its global participation, rich lineup of conferences, product launches, and technology showcases, Excon 2025 is set to reaffirm its role as the most influential construction equipment event in South Asia.
