The 15th China Beijing International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines and Mining Machines Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2019) with the theme of "Intelligence Connects the World, Green Draws a Better Future" was held in China International Exhibition Center New Venue, Beijing, during September 4-7, 2019. The exhibition spread over 150,000 sq m with a substantial increase in net area, saw participation of 1,263 enterprises from 31 countries and regions. The number of exhibitors was increased by over 20 per cent year on year. Visitor turnout also increased by over 22 per cent with a total of 151,835 visitors including government agencies, envoys in China, key users, industry organisations, experts, scholars, and professional visitors from 76 countries and regions.

Grand opening
Wang Ruixiang, President, China Machinery Industry Federation announced the opening of BICES 2019. Su Zimeng, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of China Construction Machinery Industry Association delivered the opening speech, while Zhou Weidong, Vice Chairman of CCPIT-Machinery Sub-Council, hosted the ceremony. The guests attended the ceremony included Jing Xiaobo, former Inspector of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Jin Hong, Deputy Director of Foreign Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce; Xie Yangjun, Director of the Silk Road Promotion Center for International Cooperation Center of the Development and Reform Commission; Qi Jun, President, China Construction Machinery Association; Han Xue Song, Chief Advisor of China Construction Machinery Association; and leaders of industrial organisations and user enterprises, representatives from China organisations for foreign friendship, embassies in China, and related international associations.

More than 10,000 kinds of high-technology and high-reliability products in the upstream and downstream exhibitors of the full-value industrial chain were displayed in BICES 2019. A large number of new products have been displayed on the BICES stage with a centralised manner at terms of digital, intelligent, green, lightweight, complete sets, and humanised services, especially for a batch of products and technologies are first released at home or globally in BICES 2019.

Concurrent events
As a major feature of BICES, the series of conferences and activities also received enthusiastic attention from the whole industry and the society. The achievement exhibition of the 70th anniversary of the founding of China displayed the brilliant achievements of the China construction machinery industry. BICES 30th Anniversary Review area reviewed the experience and achievements of BICES in promoting the development of industry and enterprise over the past 30 years. Other activities during the period also received enthusiastic participation and high recognition from the exhibitors and visitors.
