A veteran of 21 years in the ground equipment industry, Sanjoy Chakrabarty, the co-Founder and Managing Director of Soilmec India, is responsible for all strategic and marketing decisions in addition to overseeing the financial activities of the company. Soilmec India is a full spectrum provider for foundation equipment for the ground engineering industry.

Today, Sanjoy has successfully established Soilmec India as the only composite subsidy of Soilmec Italy, integrating processes and operations such as manufacturing, trading, and other value added services such as design.

Starting as an Executive Trainee at Greaves Cotton, one of India?s leading, well-diversified engineering companies, Sanjoy handled the entire marketing responsibilities of construction equipment and imported products and brought about a new dynamic approach to their business. Parting with the organisation as Marketing Head, Construction Equipment Division, and an experience of 17 years behind, Sanjoy moved forward to establish Soilmec India in 2006.

With about 200 rigs of various types working across India including that of micro piling and fore piling, Soilmec India is working in all major projects in Burnpur, Jamshedpur, Rihand, Vindhyachal, Mumbai metros, Mumbai Monorail, Paradeep, Mansa, Damanjodi, TataNagar, Anpara etc.

A proud student of the distinguished St Edmunds College, Shillong, he went on to pursue his degree in BE (Mech) from Delhi College of Engineering, also representing and winning the University tennis championship at the time.
