A young achiever
Alok Kirloskar is the Associate Vice- President of Industry sector at Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), the flagship company of Kirloskar Group. KBL is India?s largest manufacturer and exporter of pumps as also the largest infrastructure pumping project company in Asia. Graduating in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, Alok Kirloskarjoined KBL in 2007 as General Manager. Before joining KBL, he was associated with international organisations like Girvan Institute of Technology (NASA technology commercialisation division), Toyota Motors, USA and Sonansoft Corporation (Microsoft GPC).

Kirloskar heads the industry sector at KBL and is responsible for pumping products and systems in the industrial sector for process and utility applications in steel and cement plants as well as process needs in pharmaceutical, chemical and fertiliser plants.

In addition to this, he also handles Mergers and Acquisitions portfolio at KBL. KBL acquired SPP Pumps, making it the world?s largest fire pump business as well as a world leader in FMUL pumps. KBL recently acquired Braybar Pumps in South Africa for manufacturing high head mining pumps exceeding 1,400 m of head as well as rubber lined slurry pumps. Alok is also a Director on the boards of SPP Pumps Limited, UK and Braybar Pumps (Pty) Limited, South Africa.

Kirloskar is also an active member of Young Indians (Yi) an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India?s premier business association, formed in 2002 with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realise the dream of a developed nation.
