Tata Motors launched the Prima 3138.K 8X4 tipper equipped with an Allison 4430R transmission.
Tata Motors, India"s market leader in commercial vehicles, the world"s fourth largest truck manufacturer and third largest bus manufacturer, has launched the new Tata Prima 3138.K 8X4 tipper equipped with an Allison 4430R trans?mission at EXCON 2011 in Bengaluru.
Tata"s Prima 3138.K is a four-axle, 31-tonne GVW tipper with an Allison 4430R automatic transmission. Powered by Cummins ISLe (CRDi) engine, the tipper has a maximum of 370HP and features new generation brakes, ABS and hub reduction axle, specially designed for off-road applications.. The tipper also comes with a 19 cu m rock body for better payload volume and faster tipping time.
Customers will also benefit from the many proven characteristics of the Allison 4430R transmission, including outstanding reliability and durability. Allison fully auto?matics allow faster acceleration resulting in shorter trip times and provide more torque to the wheels. Built in prognostics extend oil change intervals, and with two hands on the wheel, safety is increased.
Comfort as well as safety is important and the new Tata tipper includes a spacious, air-conditioned cabin with a pneumatic-suspension driver"s seat and adjustable steering wheel. These amenities, along with the smooth shifting of the Allison fully automatic transmission, afford drivers the level of comfort necessary to achieve long hours of daily operation, also increa?sing productivity.
