Employers Federation of Southern India (EFSI), a representative body for the employers in the country has elected Anand Sundaresan, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Schwing Stetter India, as President of the EFSI during its 94th Annual General Meeting. As part of his new role, Sundaresan will be responsible for implementing progressive initiatives towards further improving employer-employee relationship. He takes over from Ramesh Datla, Managing Director, ELICO.

Sundaresan said, ?The new government in the Centre focusing on policy reforms will create huge employment opportunities, similarly in Southern India and Tamil Nadu in particular, where the government is undertaking various development and infrastructure improvement initiatives, with emphasis on employee welfare. EFSI will play a very important role in improving employer - employee relationship in Southern India.?
