Auto Expo 2020 Components inaugurated
The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), the apex body of the Indian auto component industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) kicked off the 15th edition of Auto Expo: 2020 Components, themed ?Technovation - Discover Innovations for Future?. The show was inaugurated by Arun Goyal, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises.

Speaking at the inauguration, Goyal, said, ?It?s a pleasure to be here and witness the success of this platform, jointly organised by ACMA, SIAM and CII. The technological leap achieved by the auto industry will be critical to usher in the next phase of growth. It is imperative to have industry and academia partnership to bring more innovation and cutting-edge technology for the Indian industries.?

Scheduled from February 6-9, 2020 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, the Auto Expo 2020 ? Components, one of the most coveted events for the auto component industry in the country will take a lead on advanced solutions, displaying a wide range of products across segments.

Over 1,500 companies are exhibiting their latest products and solutions, of which 200 are international exhibitors from over 20 countries. More than 100,000 business visitors are expected to witness the four-day gala. There are country pavilions of Japan, South Korea, UK, Germany, Turkey and Canada at the expo.

Sharing his thoughts, Deepak Jain, President, ACMA said, ?The auto component industry has shown strong resilience amidst the prevailing challenges. This expo?s theme, ?Technovation - Discover Innovations for Future? reflects our determination to steer the industry forward with greater value-addition, instill a positive sentiment and showcase the technological prowess, while providing more opportunities for growth.?

The visitors at the expo will witness the latest advancements in BSVI and emissions, safety, and e-mobility among various others. ACMA is also hosting an IPO forum which will bring together international purchase offices of various multinational OEMs. Exports promotion and forging international relationships is a key focus of the current expo. There are theme-based pavilions for EVs, start-ups and innovation in which several companies are displaying their prowess in specific segments.
