Automotive anti-capillary cables
HUBER+SUHNER is supplementing its existing range of silicon-free RADOX? anti-capillary cables with new cross-sections. The Swiss company can now supply customers with cables in cross-sections of 0.35, 2, 2.5, 4 and 6 mm-?. Following the successful launch of the silicon-free RADOX anti-capillary cable in May 2013, HUBER+SUHNER is now expanding this product family of barrier-sealed copper cables to include additional cross-sections. HUBER+SUHNER already offered 0.5, 0.75, 1.0 and 1.5 mm-? cross-sections. The company has now added 0.35, 2, 2.5, 4 and 6 mm-? to its range. Inside the conductor of the anti-capillary cables, a grease-like filling material prevents the capillary effect in the cores. This stops liquids in the vehicle, such as oil, water or AdBlue, being conveyed and prevents damage to the electronics and sensors at the other end. The grease-like filling material is a compound developed by HUBER+SUHNER that is produced in the company?s own compounding facility in Switzerland.
