Balkrishna Industries (BKT), the Indian multinational company and global player in the off-highway tyre market, has launched two ‘Made for India’ tyres under the sub-brand EARTHMAX namely the EARTHMAX crusher haul and EARTHMAX SR 34, dedicated to the Indian construction and mining sector.

BKT - the ‘Made in India’ brand, continuously focuses on crafting unique mobility solutions for the OTR tyre industry worldwide. The tyres displayed at bauma CONEXPO India demonstrated the Indian multinational’s attention to users’ needs, trends, and the market proposing suitable and specific solutions for all operating conditions.

The EARTHMAX crusher haul is designed for on and off-road - quarry and haulage applications. This all-steel radial tyre has a block-type tread pattern that provides excellent traction. The special compound ensures cut, chip, and wear resistance thus enhancing durability and mileage. The latest novelty by BKT, the EARTHAMX crusher haul is perfect for tippers in the industrial and construction segment and has been developed to suit longer haul with load due to the strong steel belt construction and casing.

Part of the same range, EARTHMAX SR 34 is an all-steel radial tyre designed for mining applications. The ‘non-directional block’ tread pattern provides excellent traction and stability on any type of terrain. The strong all-steel casing features excellent wear and resistance to snags and punctures. The reinforced bead and shoulder design on EARTHMAX SR 34 contributes robust durability under heavy-duty service conditions. The latest novelty by BKT is ideal for wide-body mining trucks and can easily handle heavy loads.

Armed with a strong R&D, BKT exhibited some of its best products for the construction and mining industry namely – the XL GRIP ULTRA, designed specifically for tippers in the mining and construction sector, because of its non-directional tread design that provides excellent front and lateral traction and the special tread compound to ensure high cut and puncture resistance as well as excellent durability, wear resistance even on rocky surfaces.

This is followed by AIROMAX AM27, crafted especially for all-terrain cranes in the industrial and construction sectors. The all-steel radial tyre delivers exceptional traction during high-speed operation in on and off-road conditions. The AIROMAX AM27 tyre provides greater steerability due to its five-rib tread pattern and the special tread compound and the strong steel belt package provide resistance to wear, cuts, and punctures.

Lastly, the EARTHMAX SR 31, an all-steel radial tyre with non-directional block pattern treads, is specifically developed for wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks. Made of a special compound, it is extremely resistant to cuts and abrasion and dissipates heat developed during equipment operation. The tyre has a robust carcass with multiple steel belts, which provides excellent strength and stability. Thus, offers optimum traction and pleasing riding comfort. Designed for load haul and load and carry operation, the EARTHMAX SR 31 is best suited in the mining and industrial sectors.
