In order to ensure faster construction of strategic roads and necessary infrastructure in border areas, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) favoured hiring of some of its equipment. BRO chief Lieutenant General S Ravi Shankar said an initiative has to be taken for creating such an equipment bank that will also benefit local economy of the border regions. He said there is a requirement for everybody to hire equipment and it is not restricted to just the military.
