A Belgian resident born in 1953, Filip Vandenberghe is the Managing Director of Atlas Copco (India). A Ph D in mechanical engineering and production management from University of Leuven, he started career with Picanol NV (Ypres ?Belgium), a leader in manufacturing of textile equipment, and held several managerial positions in product development, engineering and quality assurance. In 1987, he joined Atlas Copco Airpower as a production manager of the core manufacturing. He was appointed as president of Compressor Technique?s core division Airtec in 2001 and in 2009, he moved to Atlas Copco (India) as Managing Director.
