Big job for small gardens
In the steadily growing city of Hamburg, the compact excavators of Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe (Yanmar CEE) are used for various jobs on many construction sites. Recently, several Yanmar excavators were deployed in the Hamburg City Park. Here, the Osbahr GmbH, expert in the green sector, constructed a new allotment garden on behalf of the Hamburg District Office North. Yanmar?s micro and midi excavators proved to be indispensable helpers in preparing the grounds for the garden plots, for the parking and path constructions as well as for water pipes and power cables.
An SV100 prepared the ground for over 60 new plots. Equipped with a turning ditch-cleaning bucket, it first broke and then excavated the consisting asphalt and gravel surfaces. Afterwards, it filled in and levelled the topsoil. It is this type of ground work, for which the SV100 is especially qualified. An SV08, the smallest Yanmar excavator, which is perfectly suited for excavation works in narrow spaces, took care of digging the rainwater drain hollows along the access road. Also, it was used for excavating and backfilling the trenches for cables and pipes. Shortly after the project had been completed, the allotment holders could move onto their new premises.
?Ever since I am with Osbahr, I?ve always been working with Yanmar excavators ? for many years,? says Antonio Brites, Foreman at Osbahr. ?Yanmar has the right machines for every task. The short and zero tail swing excavators are perfect for working in narrow spaces. At the same time, they can keep up with bigger excavators in terms of performance and stability.?
The company Osbahr has a long tradition and is one of the most established in its sector in Germany. The service portfolio covers the entire scope of gardening and landscaping - including earthworks, underground and dyke construction, road construction, roof and indoor greening as well as creating and maintaining gardens and parks. The company?s machine park includes ten Yanmar excavators, amongst others the SV08, the ViO25, the ViO57 and the SV100.
