Caterpillar announced the launch of two new products in India in the construction equipment segment. The new products ? Cat?320D2 GC hydraulic excavator and 950L wheel loader - will add to the company?s wide product portfolio in these segments in the Indian market.

The new Cat 320D2GC hydraulic excavator that is being introduced in India will be produced at Caterpillar India?s manufacturing facility at Thiruvallur in Tamil Nadu. The product introduction reflects Caterpillar?s commitment to the Indian market and the Government of India?s ?Make-in-India? program.

The new product offerings are among a select range of Cat products that were showcased at the BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA. The other Cat products on display included Cat 216B3 skid steer loader, 424B backhoe loader, B20 breaker and 120K2 motor grader.

Commenting on the introduction of new products in the Indian market, Vivekanand Vanmeeganathan, Country Head and Managing Director, Caterpillar India stated, ?Our strategy in India has always been to grow with the market and this decision about launching new products in the construction sector also follows the recent growth acceleration in these sectors.?
