Central India?s 1st multimodal logistic park to start soon

Central India?s first multimodal logistics park (MMLP) would be operational from August at Tehi, near Pithampur. With this facility, now cargo can reach the port directly saving 70 per cent time and freight cost. The progress of setting up of MMLP at Tehi alongside the first station of Tehi on Indore-Dahod BG line is going on in full swing. Container Corporation of India Ltd is setting up the first MMLP on 90-acre land with an investment of approximately Rs 200 crore. However, under the first phase, transport of containers from MMLP would start from August this year.

K Srinivasan, Senior General Manager of CONCOR, said that out of 90 acre land required for the MMLP, his company has acquired 80 per cent land and the rest 20 per cent would be acquired by the end of this month.
