The ministry of coal plans to review the progress on 61 coal blocks allocated to 41 companies including Tata Steel, Hindustan Zinc, Essar, Adani, Arcelor Mittal, GVK and JSPL. These companies are facing cancellation of licences due to delay in commencement of mining operations. The blocks would be reviewed on February 7 and 8. The review meeting will be chaired by coal ministry additional secretary, A K Dubey. The replies of the affected companies would be considered along with the documents furnished in response to the ministry?s notice
