The coal exports to Bangladesh from the states of Meghalaya and Assam resumed. The coal exports were stopped on April 1 by the Indian exporters in protest against the rise in excise duty at the Bangladesh end. The issue was discussed between the Bangladesh and Indian counterparts and it is expected that the coal supplies will resume from India to Bangladesh.
