Crane Service adds another Terex crane
Albuquerque-based Crane Service has taken delivery of a new 250t capacity class Terex AC 250-1 all-terrain crane. Equipped with all available options, including offset hydraulic jib, it made its debut in Abilene, Texas, hoisting down a neon sign from the Bank of America building, the tallest office building in Abilene, which required 85 m (280 ft) of boom and jib. The AC 250-1 joins a recently purchased AC100/4L which, according to Crane Service President, Scott Wilson, was one of the reasons why the AC 250-1 was the preferred choice of the heavy hoisting specialist. He comments, ?We decided on this model based on our relationship with Terex and our positive experience of the AC100/4L.? With an 80 m (262 ft) pinned boom, the AC 250-1 all-terrain crane has the longest main boom roadable within a 12 t (13.2 US t) axle load.
