Following the theme, `For a Greener Tomorrow` at ACREX India 2012, Danfoss Industries announced the launch of its unique FittersApp. Given the evolution of mobile technology, Danfoss Industries has developed a first-of-its-kind mobile application for trouble- shooting refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. This advanced app guides a technician, service person or a maintenance engineer to check the functioning of the system and evaluate the requirement of maintenance. A futuristic initiative from Danfoss, this app will help one understand the various system problems and can also act as a proactive measure to avoid equipment shutdown. This application is available on Android and iphone.

In a related development, Prana, one of the major attractions at ACREX India 2012 is a fully functional high performance permanent exhibit for a greener tomorrow. In any building, the air-conditioning system consumes the highest energy as compared to the other systems. In order to combat the same, Danfoss with support of Bluestar, has developed and installed a high energy-efficient chiller built with advanced components in their range like variable speed compressor, electronic expansion valve, micro channel and plate heat exchangers. This chiller uses controls with high pressure rating as it is with ozone friendly R410A refrigerant which has higher operating pressures compared to HCFC 22.
