Deere adds P-tier versions to excavators
Models 350 and 380 John Deere excavators are now available in the company’s P-tier versions. These are the first excavators to be launched under the company’s Performance Tiering strategy.
The Deere 350 P-tier and Deere 380 P-tier excavators are designed to deliver “exceptional performance, efficiency, comfort, and service life in demanding, high-production applications,” according to the company. The Deere 350 is a 40-ton machine; the 380 operates at 85,462 pounds.
Both excavators have SmartGrade technology as a factory option and field upgrade kits. Customers can choose from 2D guidance, 3D guidance, 2D SmartGrade Ready Control, and SmartGrade 3D Control, and can upgrade as necessary. Overdig protects limits the bucket’s cutting edge from going below the target design surface.
Visibility around the machines has been improved with the option of a right, rear, and left camera system with LED surround lighting that provides enhanced 270-degree visibility and is integrated into the primary display in the cab.
