Directional Control Valves
Bucher Hydraulics presents the HDS34 range of directional control valves with many interesting details.

Bucher Hydraulics continues to pursue the policy of constant innovation towards innovative projects solutions, successfully answering the most advanced technical and technological customer's requests. The directional control valve HDS34 is positioned within this advanced product development philosophy.

The stackable directional control valve HDS34 developed by Bucher Hydraulics Spa, is a true closed centre, load sensing operating valve. For Bucher Hydraulics, this means a great step forward in the direction of new product developments in hydraulic technology. Or, to put in another way, to give positive answers to future needs and most advanced market demands.

Main features

As mentioned above, the HDS34 directional control valve is a true closed centre load sensing valve, featuring the latest and most advanced flow sharing technology with an individual downstream compensator system. This system assures an exceptional constant flow sharing function, while operating different functions simultaneously, regardless of function loads and pressure values. Plus, the downstream compensator assures the sharing of flow, even in case the flow demands exceed the maximum available pump flow.

Basically, the HDS34 is a 150 l/min nominal inlet flow size valve, 120 l/min at A/B service ports for the version with individual compensator, 140 l/min for the simpler version with adju?stable restrictor/check valve fun?ction. Maximum return flow is 250 l/min, max inlet pressure is 280 bar, and max service port A/B pressure is 320 bar.

Other features

Its physical size is significant, eg, important for telescopic handler appli?cations in which the valve is placed between the cabin and the telescopic boom. The HDS34 features the sma?llest valves in its flow range, not exceeding 105 mm height which is a positive answer to a specific request. Of course, this feature will also be appreciated in many other applications, as valves are often placed in more and more restricted spaces. Another important feature is the number of safety functions integrated in the inlet section like the solenoid operated unloading valve connected to the load sensing signal, as well as the solenoid operating valve on the low pressure supplying line. This disables the operation of the proportional electro-hydraulic controls if the machine operator is not properly seated in the cab operating position. Service port anti-shock and/or anti-cavitation valves are available. Single hand lever and manual dual axis joystick control, remote cable control, hydraulic control (HP), as well as proportional electro hydraulic versions either in the opened (EHO) and closed loop (EHC) version are available, with pressurised safety lever as an available option.

Applications

The HDS34 is designed for any machine where fine load movement controls are matched to multi-function actuations and reduced power consumptions are the main operating features required also linked to effective first installation and operating costs saving. The main focus is applications such as tele-handler, wheel loader and backhoe.o sum up, the HDS34 is a high-performance product, suits a wide range of applications and will be available at attractive prices, to make the prodcut an ideal choice for OEMs.
