Rama Rao AS is the Senior Vice President-Sales, Marketing, Aftermarket, of Volvo Trucks. He took up the responsibility on Volvo Trucks sales, marketing and after-market in January 2014.

Associated with VE Commercial Vehicles since 2002, Rao holds the responsibility of setting up a strong base for marketing, sales and after-sales functions at Volvo Trucks. He was also closely involved with the development of product strategies. Under his guidance, Volvo Trucks now has a highly oriented frontline team handling the critical areas of marketing, sales and after-sales.

Having 23 years of entrepreneurial, he began his career with Tata Motors. He has over two decades of experience in running dealership for commercial vehicles and service dealership for commercial vehicles.

Rao is an engineer by qualification and has specialised in mechanical engineering.
