Eaton's innovation programme
Eaton announced the successful completion of the third group of the 'Ignited Innovators of India' (I2I) programme at its valedictory function at College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). Instituted by the BHAU Institute in association with Eaton, the I2I movement aims to provide a platform to students who aspire to become social entrepreneurs and intend to bring in small yet significant changes in the world around them.

This third batch of the programme commenced on October 3, 2012. More than 1,500 students from 53 colleges across Maharashtra participated in the programme. A total of 568 projects were submitted, of which 50 projects were shortlisted for final evaluation. Eaton provided mentoring, funding and networking support to the participants at every stage of their project lifecycle. Fourteen Eaton employees mentored the participants, offering their guidance and skills.
