Economic slowdown has impacted the Indian construction equipment industry over the past two years. The short-term economic outlook in India may seem unfavourable, however the medium to long-term economic prospects look encouraging.

The construction equipment industry is facing cost-related pressures due to increase in prices of raw material and fuel; thus generating the need to lower the total cost of operations. Furthermore, there are challenges in adopting some aspects that have established themselves in the western world. On the brighter side, there is a visible shift towards adoption of world-class technology for better fuel efficiency, higher productivity and profitability. We at Total offer many unique solutions such as energy efficient lubricants, long drain engine and hydraulic oils for equipment manufacturers and users. Use of these cost-effective products and services enhance equipment life and has environmental benefits as well.

We believe that Excon as a platform should reflect the grass route level optimism and address the challenges of construction equipment industry. We take Excon as an opportunity to showcase our dedicated range of products and solutions that addresses the needs of construction, infrastructure and mining equipment industry, thereby improving productivity and reducing cost of operations.

We anticipate that the exhibitors shall focus on topics like better fuel efficiency, higher productivity and increase in profitability. Also, the business of the construction equipment industry is witnessing growth of new contractors and un-organised hires, so this could also be a topic of discussion. This year, we look forward for some energy-efficient solutions, considering it as the need of the hour.
