Faro Technologies, the world's leading provider of portable measurement and imaging solutions, announced the release of CAM2 Measure 10, its new measuring software for the FaroArm, ScanArm and Faro Laser Tracker.

CAM2 Measure 10 marks Faro's return to the suc?cessful family of CAM2 Measure software prod?ucts. This new release is built on the solid foundation of the previous CAM2 Q while also introducing the key new features like Live Color Scan for point cloud inspection, Shortcuts and the Easy Move Wizard. These inno?vative functionalities are designed to improve measu?re?ment proce?sses, whether tactile or scan?ning, and make CAM2 Measu?re 10 the first choice in portable measurement software.

The Live Color Scan feature adds point cloud inspection support to the already outsta?nding geometry measurement functionality. Thanks to this new feature, CAM2 Measure 10 users can quickly scan free fo?rm parts using the Faro ScanArm just as easily as they measure geometry with a tactile probe. In only a few steps they can complete a scanning inspe?ction, viewing live colour infor?mation on their parts as they scan.

Another time-saving fea?ture of the new release is Shortcuts. This new feature allows users to create new com?mands to measure features that are only available through com?bining measurements and const?ru?ctions. Shortcuts enable one to record all steps of a complex measurement into a single com?mand that can later be accessed with a single mouse click. The Easy Move Wizard is a great assistance for measuring large parts when the need to repo?sition the device is often nece?ssary to complete a measu?rement. The complexity of fin?ding the correct target corres?po?ndence is taken away from the ope?rator, cutting down on the time required for the reposi???tioning, at the same time, re?mo??ving the risk of human error.
