GKD ? Gebr. Kufferath AG (GKD), leading international manufacturer of complex solutions based on special technical weaves, expanded its global presence by opening a subsidiary in India in 2012.With the inauguration of its own production site in Jaipur, GKD is consolidating its global company alignment as a solution partner and systems supplier. GKD India, founded as a joint venture with the Indian weave manufacturer WMW Metal Fabrics, covers all four business areas of the German parent company: filter media, process belts, architectural and design meshes, and systems technology for defined markets in solid-liquid filtration. GKD has a majority holding in the Indian joint venture.

The production building in Jaipur was established on a 1,600 square metre company-owned site in the immediate vicinity of the former license partner and now company partner, WMW Metal Fabrics.
