Infrastructure firm HCC has bagged two orders worth Rs 623 crore in the hydropower and tunnelling sectors. The first order worth Rs 456 crore, by Tangsibji Hydro Energy of Bhutan, is for constructing the 118 MW Nikachhu Hydropower project and it is to be completed in 48 months. The second order of Rs 167 crore from Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) is for constructing a double lane tunnel of approximately 1,500 m which will be the access road to Sawalkote Hydroelectric Power Project in J&K. This project is expected to be completed in 30 months.
