Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has bagged a Rs 1783.42 crore contract from NHAI to construct a 36 km stretch of road in Jammu & Kashmir. The route between Ramban and Banihal includes 3 km of tunnels. It is part of phase-II of the country?s National Highways Development Project (NHDP) and forms part of National Highway 44 (NH44). The road is part of a project to better connect Srinagar to the rest of the country.
