HMDA proposes four more logistic parks
Apart from the proposed logistic parks at Mangalapally and Batasingaram on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is planning to establish four more similar logistic parks along national highways on the outskirts of the city. The state government has already given approval for logistic parks at Batasingaram and Mangalapally. The works on them will begin shortly.

The Comprehensive Transportation Study (CTS), conducted by HMDA for the metropolitan area, suggested the need for establishing some more logistic parks to meet the increasing infrastructure demand for freight logistics. Hence the plan for for four more.

According to HMDA, a detailed study will be carried out and, if possible, the four new terminals will be grounded this year itself in view of the demand for logistic parks in these locations. The proposed parks will be developed in public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
