The Jodhpur-based Metallizing Equipment Co Jodhpur (India) said that it will focus more on high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) thermal spray coating. This is proven and well known process for applying anti-erosive and anti-corrosive coating on CFBC boiler tubes which work under high temperature conditions. MEC is into field of this coating from more than last 40 years.

MEC has commenced HVOF boiler tube coating works with its own manufactured equip?ment for more than 10 units in India. Its pro?fessional and experienced coating team has satisfactorily executed these jobs in timely man?ner. Recently inspection of coating was done at GIPCL in Unit no 3 and 4, and observations showed stagnant coating presence without any major failure. Surface conditions of tubes after one year of coating were surprisingly good. Photo?graphs shown below tell quality of these works.
