Henkel opens India's largest adhesive manufacturing facility near Pune
Henkel Adhesives Technologies India announced the unveiling of its new production facility in Kurkumbh, near Pune. With a total investment of about EUR 50 million (Rs 4 billion), the company aims to serve the growing demand of Indian industries for high-performance solutions in adhesives, sealants and surface treatment products. The Henkel Kurkumbh manufacturing site was formally inaugurated in the presence of several dignitaries including Dr Jnrgen Morhard, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai and Dr P Anbalagan, CEO, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

This manufacturing facility site admeasures 100,000 sqm and has a built-up area of 51,000 sqm and is India's largest adhesive manufacturing facility. It will further increase Henkel's capabilities to serve customers across markets including flexible packaging, automotive, agriculture and construction equipment, general industry and metals.
