Italian CE market posts 15 per cent growth in 2017
In 2017, 12,766 machines have been sold in the Italian market, with a growth of 15 per cent compared to 2016. Earthmoving machines sold were 12,275, up 15 per cent on a year-on-year basis, while road equipment grew by 5 per cent, with 491 units.

?At this point, the recovery of the Italian market has to be considered as a consolidate trend? said Paolo Venturi, President, Unacea. ?The effort we expect from public authorities, with the aim to consolidate the national market, is the recognition of the technological advances made by the industry. Consequently, we expect a reward policy for virtuous end-user contractors and for the benefit of safety and environment.?

The export of Italian construction equipment between January and October 2017 reached Euro 2.23 billion, up 7 per cent compared to the same period in 2016. Export of road equipment, in particular, records the highest growth rate, with 26 per cent y-o-y. Positive export trend also witnessed for the crushing and screening equipment (23 per cent), earthmoving machines (13 per cent), tower cranes (10 per cent) and concrete equipment (5 per cent). On the other hand, export of drilling machines decreased by 21 per cent.
