In the first quarter of 2020, construction equipment sold on the Italian market were 2,701, with a drop of 15 per cent compared to same period of 2019. The earthmoving machines sold were 2,609 (-15 per cent), while road machineries were 92, with a decrease of 23 per cent. “It is a dramatic drop - said Mirco Risi, President of Unacea - because the trend in the first two months of the year had been quite positive, but with the arrival of the crisis in March we have witnessed the cancellation of the market, both foreign and internal.”
