JCB ecoMAX engine
In 2011, JCB India inaugurated a world-class engine manufacturing facility in Delhi-NCR which is also the world's largest backhoe plant. In over six years, JCB has manufactured over 1,50,000 ecoMAX engines and machines fitted with these engines have been exported to over 90 countries.

Presently, JCB India offers engines in both forms, naturally aspirated and turbo charged. It offers a varied range from 56 kW to 97 kW in BS-III emission complied machines such as backhoe loader, wheeled loader and compactor while the range extends from 63 kW to 129 kW in excavators.

Beyond mobile applications, genset engines are also manufactured at JCB's state-of-the-art facility at Delhi-NCR for both export and domestic requirements, from 60 kVA to 160 kVA.

Over the years, JCB engines have gained a reputation of being fuel-efficient, reliable and productive. These engines have been designed to withstand arduous Indian site conditions and come with low noise and vibration, along with a longer engine life. The stringent quality checks as part of the company's 'No-Fault Forward' philosophy ensure that each engine unit is compliant to JCB's One Global Quality standard.
The ecoMAX engine is the first engine in India that has been developed exclusively for off-highway applications and has gone through multiple stages of improvement with the latest being the achievement of BS-III norms with external and without turbocharger.

Supported by India's leading dealer network for after sales service and support, the ecoMAX engines are giving class-leading performance in the machines they have been fitted in. The network ensures unlimited hours warranty and upfront availability of parts through an extensive network of 650+ outlets spread across the country, for one full year.

Given the success of JCB ecoMAX engine in the market, JCB forayed into the OEM engine business in 2015 and presently, JCB has partnered with various OEMs for engine supply.
