JNK Lifters buys Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane
Crane rental company JNK Lifters based in Mumbai took delivery of a new LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane at the Bauma Conexpo India construction machinery trade show. The high lifting capacity of the 5-axle machine and its VarioBase? variable support base with the main criteria behind the purchase. This new Liebherr crane sees JNK Lifters expand its mobile crane range significantly upwards.
Jayantilal Gala, Director, JNK Lifters, who has more than 32 years of experience in the crane industry and is one of the pioneers of the crane rental sector in India, said, ?The new LTM 1250-5.1 is an extremely versatile crane. It has an enormous lifting capacity and can tackle many of the crane jobs in the petrochemicals and steel fabrication sectors normally reserved for cranes in the 300 tonne class. Innovations such as VarioBase?, VarioBallast, ECOmode and very long lattice jibs give us a major advantage over our competitors.?
JNK Lifters purchased the LTM 1250-5.1 with a 36-m folding jib and a 46-m fixed lattice jib. Kunal Gala, Director, JNK Lifters, regards the Liebherr VarioBase? as a particularly great benefit, ?The variable support base is a great benefit when there is not enough space to extend all four outriggers in full. However, it is often possible to fully extend two of the outriggers. This means that we can now complete crane work using the full capacity of the crane if we work in the direction of the extended outriggers. And the operation of the crane is also secured by the crane controller.?
The main areas of use for the new LTM 1250-5.1 will include tower crane assembly, maintenance work in the petrochemicals industry, support work for wind turbine erections and underground railway construction sites.
