JOST India is expanding its plant to cope with the increasing demand for its fifth wheel couplings, telescopic landing gears and axle systems. The company recently put its new production hall and warehouse into operation with a covered area of around 6,500 sq m. Opened in 2008, the JOST plant is very close to India?s largest truck manufacturer in Jamshedpur. In a joint venture with the German trailer axle specialist Gigant, trailer axles developed especially for the Indian market have only been produced at the JOST plant in Jamshedpur since 2010. JOST India will soon begin producing telescopic landing gears, oscillating axle suspensions and trailer axle steering systems optimised for use on Indian roads.
