Komatsu America Corp, a subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd has completed its acquisition of Joy Global Inc, a worldwide leader in high-productivity mining solutions. Retaining its headquarters in Milwaukee, WI, Joy Global Inc has been renamed Komatsu Mining Corp and operated as a subsidiary of Komatsu. Komatsu, the world?s second-largest manufacturer of mining and construction equipment, acquired Joy Global in July 2016. Joy Global manufactures and services advanced original equipment and parts for underground and surface mining applications, as well as material handling systems and components for a variety of applications, products that complement existing Komatsu products. Till the acquisition of Joy Global, Komatsu?s focus had been on surface mining equipment.
