Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL) has bagged a repeat order from Calik Enerji of Turkey, for supply of pumps for its 230 MW CCPP project in Georgia. Calik Enerji is a Turkish energy company of Calik Holding, with business interests in oil and gas exploration and production, transportation and distribution; power generation, transmission and distribution; power plant design and engineering; and telecommunications services. KBL received its first order from Calik Enerji in 2010-11 for supply of 24 units of various horizontal split case and vertical turbine pumps for the 480 MW NAVOI CCPP project in Uzbekistan. KBL also provided supervision support on site during the installation and commissioning of pumps.

All pumps were successfully commissioned, and systems were handed over to Calik Enerji by May 2012.
