Larsen and Toubro (L and T) has been awarded a Rs 3,655 crore ($600 million) contract to design and construct a new north-south road in Qatar. The contract is for the 11 km Al Wakrah Bypass Road, a continuation of an existing urban north-south high-speed corridor of the Doha Expressway. The new road will consist of 10 lanes and four future lane sections with additional collectors/distributor roads, frontage roads and ramps.
